Progeny started out as an all-girl visual kei band with a thing to play jrock music. However, with their drummer leaving to study in England, keyboardist going to US and their bassist going to Australia, the all-girl line up could not be accomplished.

Talented friends helped them to be back on their feet, and they first appeared at the ONGAKU RAVE as a collaboration band with Neil, Ian and Sonnaqs playing for the lost members. A week after the event, they played for MUSICK AGAINST DISCRIMINATION together with the local underground rock groups at the Mayrics bar. And yes, they still played j-rock, and the underground rock music scene has appreciated and accepted their style.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances, another version of Progeny has to be made. And hopefully, this would be Progeny's last and final version, made up of 5 people of different background, all with a passion for music. Meeting new friends and playing with fellow talented musicians has been a fruitful experience for the band, and Progeny will definitely be here to stay. |
